Our Cuisine=Our Stories
Helsinki, 2012-2013 // Our Cuisine=Our Stories is a project facilitated by Sari T.M. Kivinen and Amal Laala. In 2012 OC=OS consisted of workshops and cooking sessions with a group of nine women who live in Helsinki but are from diverse cultural and occupational backgrounds. We explored interactions between cultures, cuisine and people. Specifically we have focused on exploring associations to food and storytelling. The second phase of OC=OS occurred throughout 2013 and included a workshop at Stoa Cultural Centre and public market stall events called Taste Exchange. This project is supported by The Arts Promotion Centre of Finland and Stoa Cultural Centre.
